What is the difference between polyester, acrylic yarn and nylon in clothes?

1. Polyester: good strength, easy to static electricity

Polyester feels like cotton, but the material is stiff, wrinkle-resistant and washable. In terms of output, polyester is the big brother of chemical fibers. When China's early chemical industry was underdeveloped, "really good" shirts were very popular, but they were actually polyester shirts.

All-polyester products lack the affinity with the human body. At present, all-polyester fabrics are often used to make blankets and carpets with various touches.

2. Nylon: strong and wear-resistant, easy to static electricity

Nylon is a chemical fiber, which is a strong and wear-resistant variety of chemical fibers.

According to its characteristics, women's leggings are used more, usually mixed with spandex (elastane).

The disadvantage is that it is easy to deform under small external force, so the fabric is easy to wrinkle in the process of wearing; the ventilation is poor and it is easy to generate static electricity.

3. Acrylic fiber: "wool" in chemical fiber

Acrylic fabric, known as synthetic wool, is a high-grade fiber in chemical fibers.

Its performance is very similar to wool, with good elasticity, the rebound rate can still be maintained at 65% when the elongation is 20%, it is fluffy, curly and soft, and its warmth retention is 15% higher than that of wool, but the cost is much lower than that of wool.

Many wool fabrics are now composed of acrylic fibers. Acrylic fibers are generally used for knitted sweaters, and can be spun or blended to make a variety of wool materials, blankets, and sportswear.

4. Vinylon: "cotton" in chemical fiber

Vinylon, known as "synthetic cotton", is the most hygroscopic variety of synthetic fibers, with a moisture absorption rate of 4.5% to 5%, which is close to cotton (8%).

Now the popular silk filler is often vinylon.

5. Polypropylene: light and warm, not hygroscopic

Polypropylene fiber is the lightest fiber among common chemical fibers.

Because it is not hygroscopic, it can be used to make diapers and mosquito nets.

6. Spandex: Born for elasticity

Spandex, commonly known as Lycra cotton, is a chemical fiber with good elasticity and poor strength.

Spandex is a highly elastic fiber necessary for high-performance clothing that pursues movement and convenience. It is comfortable to wear, soft to the touch, and wrinkle-free to maintain its original silhouette.

Spandex is widely used in textile fields such as underwear, underwear, casual wear, sportswear, socks, etc.
