Advantages and disadvantages of cotton and polyester

Cotton and polyester yarn are two common fabrics on the market, so what is the difference between these two fabrics? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
Cotton is a natural fiber, and its main component is cellulose. Cotton fiber has strong hygroscopicity, excellent air permeability, anti-sensitivity, simple cleaning, soft and comfortable feel, but the elasticity of cotton fiber is poor.
Polyester is an important variety of synthetic fibers, and its basic composition is polyethylene terephthalate. Polyester has good wrinkle resistance and shape retention, and its elasticity is close to that of wool; polyester fabrics have good resistance to various chemicals and are not damaged by acids and alkalis. It feels thorny to the touch, and it is easy to generate static electricity, which makes people dislike it.
Cotton and polyester have their own advantages and disadvantages, so manufacturers now produce clothing that is generally made of a combination of the two fabrics to keep the clothing wrinkle-resistant, not easy to deform, and at the same time retains breathability, softness, and comfort, and is deeply loved by people.
